NEEDS #1 USER ASSIGNED KEYS. #2 DIFFERENT KITS Will be great after those 2 things are addressed. To the maker whats with the key assignments?? have you never played a virtual drum kit on the mac?? Im glad this app finally came out on the Mac App Store I enjoy it on my iPod. I also think that it would be best to have user-assignable controls, and it needs to have more kits just like the iPod/iPhone version. Also, since some types of music require the simulation of a double bass kick/double kick pedal, I think there should be TWO keys for the kick drum. Still though, glad this is on the Mac it is a fun little app and its good for coming up with beats to practice on ones real drum kit or to come up with ideas for drum tracks to go with other recordings if youre into music production (I use it for both of these)

its ok, just basic kit with what you see, needs user definable keys and a couple different style of kits would be nice.

Its an amazing app but #1 thing is to assign your own controls!!!! PLEASE! and second maybe some other styles.

key assignment would be nice

i liked it but this app needs to be developed in many ways. keys cannot be changed and two keys should be assigned for kick and snare to be able to play fast. recording and over dubbing should be nice. hoping for an update for those

Ive been downloading apps for my iphone and was kinda getting tired of tapping the screen to get my beats out. I like having the ability to use my mouse and keyboard to drum. Very simple app, but the sound is great and its good for practice. App response is super fast when tapping keyboard keys. :)

Not really worth it right now. Its fun for like 2 min. and one cant change the sound of the drums.

I play open handed and this set up for keyboard is confusing. Needs new soungs and fit for all screens. I cant seee the whole app like in the picture, I have a 13.3" MacBook Pro.

on the iphone app, this app rocks . . . I was playing drums immediately. But having to use keystroke commands, it takes a bit to learn, and is too unnatural to keep my interest.

I like this app because my friends think its cool lol but it needs two keys for double bass...there are two pedals on the drum set but only one key

Decent program, big highlight is extraordinarily fast response. However. Definitely could use some work on the key layout. Dont expect to make overly complicated drum parts with this.... even the simple ones can be a struggle with the spatial relationship between the snare, high hat, and bass.

As stated below, the key mappings are horrible. The snare drum is the "F" key, the bass is the "J" key and the hi-hat is the "B" key. What? This makes no sense. Was this application designed for the 2 left-handed drummers in the world? We NEED to be able to assign keys ourselves. Next, the drum sounds leave a lot to be desired. Next, the bass drum has a double pedal, but wheres the other key? Awful. The snare drum needs another key for drum rolls. At least the app was only 99 cents.

it was ok not what i expected, i hope a new version would come out with better comtrols and coool effects.

unable to do rim shots needs user key remapping function needs more drum sounds but its got separate keys for hihat open/closed sounds better than the RealDrum app on this

the only problem i have is that their is too much of a delay when you hold down a key

It might be helpful if the corresponding key were displayed over each of the drums. i.e. display a letter "F" over the image of the snare, "J" for the kick/bass, etc. That way users could clearly see what key to hit for what element.

I wish there were more drums and you didnt have to remember all the keyboard keys to press to hit a drum. Otherwise, good!
